I’m Sarah, a Lake District photographer with over 16 years of experience photographing weddings, elopements, and adventure stories across the UK — especially within the picturesque Lake District, Cumbria, and surrounding uplands.
My approach is documentary and natural: capturing emotive moments as they unfold. Based in Cockermouth, and spending all my freetime wandering the fells, I am familiar with beautiful lake and fellside backdrops for your images.
A nomad at heart I’ve photographed lifestyle stories, events and weddings across most of the upland areas of Cumbria, Northumberland, Scotland, North Wales (and even Norway and Iceland).
I live for days spent in wild locations capturing raw emotion. When not on a shoot you’ll find me enjoying a wild brew in the mountains with my dog.
Behind the Lens
We live in a time where images can be crafted by ai in a matter of seconds, all from the comfort of a nice cosy office. However they lack humanity, rawness and the lived experience that gives weight to the subject.
All my brand photography is taken through lived experience. I head out in to the wilds, with my camera and kit.. and using my phone as a remote tether to my Fujifilm camera I capture the way the moment feels.. the weather, the view, the temperature, my comfort and all the emotion of a lived experience.
